Arbor Day 2048
Friday, April 24Arbor Day is a holiday celebrated every year on the second Sunday in April. It was initiated by the Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, Julius Sterling Morton, who on 10 April 1872 appealed to Americans to plant a tree if they have such a possibility. Morton's countrymen were keen to adopt this idea and over one million trees were planted on this day. Since 1915, the Arbor Tree is also celebrated in other countries of Europe.
